[T]he Pistons got back to their swarming ways when the Miami Heat had the ball, and Tayshaun Prince scored a career playoff-high 29 points to lift Detroit to a 91-78 win Wednesday night in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals.

ESPN.com - NBA - Recap - Heat at Pistons.

i’m a huge detroit fan. red wings, tigers (they’ve been doing shitty forever, but this season are leading the league), pistons, and… at much as it pains me to say it lions.

but anyhow. when the pistons won the championship everyone said the lakers would win. when they took on the spurs about everyone said it would be a cakewake for the spurs. and this season down 3–1 to the heat everyone left them for dead. while it’s true they are still down in the series against a good team who still can beat them, would everyone STFU.

no one has a crystal ball. the only thing different between now and the regular season is the team that loses doesn’t play for a month. i know the arguments, but but but they need to step it up a knotch… they are play the same team more… bla bla bla. barring injuries it’s the same team playing. they aren’t playing for their (picked the wrong ‘their’ in my last post, opps) lifes nor are they playing for some great love of the city, state, or whatever. they are playing for themselves. fans can’t will them to win nor can columnists predict the future. i could link you to about eleventyhundred articles that did just that in a manner of speaking. but i’m not.

i know if the shoe were in the other foot i’d probably not be typing this, but this kind of ‘reporting’ is rampant in all sports. even if the article is prefixed with ‘what do you think will happen’ it is pretty frelling shoddy if you ask me.

i love this. the MSM is looking for anything to pin the corruption scandal on both parties. while some members of the democratic party are involved, far and away the republicans are the winners in this. they created K-Street. they take money (good or bad) all the time. while its true the MSM would not be doing it job if they let shit like this pass under the radar, COULD YOU AT LEAST DO A LITTLE FUCKING FACTCHECKING.
