Elections are for fascists
I've read a lot about democracy being broken. Maybe not a lot, but it all melts together when your scanning hundreds of blogs over a few weeks.
It isn't.
Take the 2000 election for which Al Gore won. Regardless of with the SCOTUS said, the electoral college elected who it wanted to. That's how our democracy works. A point could be made that the election was stolen, but that is an outside matter. Nothing has been done to change the election that elected the last 41 presidents.
The only thing that has really changed to the way we input the selections We may need change input, but do you really want to change the country, our democracy? That is the major problem with reform, major reform. How ever much we need it, who's to say what we reform it to will be any better then what we have now. We can hope, but that is not a sure way to make it happen. We need reform to policies in the democracy, not an overhaul to democracy itself.
